The Taida Pasic Story
In one of my earlier postings I wrote about Taida Pasic, who wanted to do her exams in Holland, but was arrested to be send back to Kosovo.Taida's lawyer brought the issue to court and the judge said the way she was arrested was unneccesairy and the protests she and her lawyer submitted weren't heard like they should.
Minister Rita Verdonk said Taida committed fraude by telling she lived in Haarlem but going to school in Winterswijk. Verdonk called that lying. The information about Taida's case given by the press was only from the point of view of Taida and family, and the Dutch Immigration Department's (IND) information about the case was never given.
They said Taida and her family were send back to Kosovo earlier and were given 7000 euros for expenses. Then she used a Tourist Visa from France to get back to Holland. Verdonk said that was misusing the rules. The judge said that the IND should handle this case very carefully and thouroughly before sending the scholar back to Kosovo.
Judge for yourself...
